7/23/14 somebody sleeping @ cerritos library (cerritos needs to update their computers or we will ALL be sleeping!!!)

cerritos has a beautiful facility but the computers are from the 80's. It's like a lamborghini with a clunker engine. It's a sign of a "static" administration (as opposed to "dynamic"). This means the paid employees are content with "going thru the motions" and simply making sure patrons are being "obedient"; as opposed to helping patrons excel, and being active collaborators with the patrons as opposed to "us" v "them." In some situations, when it is "us" v "them" some systems actually are trying to keep "them" down...ie don't give them too much or there may be an "uprising". It could be a subtle form of racism .
