WHY I DON'T USE MY BIRTH NAME ANYMORE: Another semi-elderly white woman updating my card @ library disrespected my "birth name",reading my license she said,"You're -------" with a smirk on her face,...NO I'M BARACK OBAMA lady,...why does she think I handed her the card ? But she would probably say "For legal purposes we have to ask" so I just said "that's what it says,doesn't it?" She took a long time to update my card (they make u do this every year to make sure they have all your current information). I noticed she didn't have a nametag herself. This is the library where I reported the baby in the van,and the library staff barely did anything about it.There's something wrong here.Also,As I waited in line to update my card, a weird old man got in line behind me,& asked me about the pins on my hat . I have a few rosebowl pins & a "Walk 4 life West Coast" pin. So I used the opportunity to tell him about the 50million babies killed since Roe v Wade. I wasn't sure by looking at him where he might stand on the issue,but he responded, pathetically,"That's a tough one." And went on to say "The world's overpopulated" ,blah blah blah,NOT TRUE,I said God made world for humans,not trees,not for the insects...;the plants & animals are for humans,as long as we also try to be good stewards.;I knew it was futile talking to him,which is why I usually don't do face-to-face evangelism. You can't argue a person into believing something,whether its about faith,or abortion,or politics. The only thing that changes peoples minds is a personal experience that affects the heart,and good arguments don't do that. I abruptly turned away from him saying "Nice talking to you" and resumed standing in line silently.Then the lady came up personally to me and asked me what I needed as if it was odd that I was standing in line. Normally,they stay behind the counter and say "Next person please",but she walked all the way down and around the counter & personally came up to me & asked me what I needed,as if I was lost or something. Very Bizarre.I've been coming here for years,and they always make you update your card annually in order to login to the computer.The only thing strange is why they make you do so.Most libraries don't.And then the way she said my name was like a 2nd-grade teacher who enjoyed controlling kids. Once again,that's why I've changed my name by usage,and people who use my birth name in a controlling manner are assholes,and deserve to be treated like assholes. I'm 48-years-old,not a 2nd-grader.
